THE MISSION
Brooklyn-born Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg spent her life fighting for equal rights and justice — yet there was no monumental tribute to her legacy. In 2019, Statues for Equality launched and we championed Brooklyn as the rightful home for the Justice Ginsburg statue.
THE BREAKTHROUGH
Concrete Comm brought it home: the statue of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg—created with her blessing—was installed in Brooklyn, a powerful symbol of equality, which paved the way for Statues for Equality to increase female representation in public sculpture.
